LMT Archive Search Tool

Instructions for searching the LMT Data Archive

This form allows you search the LMT Archive for proprietary or public data. To download proprietary data, you need the API token associated with the Project ID. This token will have been mailed to the project PI when the observations were scheduled. If you have forgotten your token, please contact the Help Desk ( lmthelpdesk@umass.edu ). Downloading public data does not require a key.

The top panel is to search the metadata stored with LMT observations. Wildcards (*) are supported in all metadata search fields. Individual metadata search fields are logically ANDed.

At the bottom of the lower panel is a sky position cone search. Cone searches are logically ANDed with metadata search fields.

LMT Data Search
Metadata Search

Project identifying string, e.g., 2021-S1-US-3
Observation number(s) or observation number range. Examples:
  • A single number to search for a specific observation number
  • A comma-separated list of numbers to search for any observation numbers in the list, including in combined observations.
  • A colon-delimited range low:high (inclusive), e.g., 12345:12352, to search for single or combined observations with observation numbers in the given range
Name given by PI to astronomical object represented in the data.
Reference ID string. This is a unique identifying string for the observation, e.g., 104042_104050__U5EA_G5CR.
Select INCLUDE to include combined observations in the search, EXCLUDE to exclude them, and ONLY to search only for combined observations.
Select a specific grade, a colon-delimited range low:high inclusive, or a comma-separated list of grades (see Observation Number examples above).
    Explanation of the grades:
  • -2: The (human) Data Assessor has confirmed the pipeline's automatic grade of -1
  • -1: The pipeline has failed these data.
  • 0: The pipeline has passed these data.
  • 1-3: The Data Assessor has confirmed the pipeline's passing grade, has evaluated the data and graded them Fair (1), Good (2), or Excellent (3).
Select INCLUDE to include proprietary observations in the search, EXCLUDE to exclude them, and ONLY to search only for proprietary observations.
Processing Level 1 is the default pipeline reduction; level 2 is a pipeline re-run by the data analysts; level 3 is combined obsnums or combined maps. Leave empty to return any processing level available.
Choose one of the "A" bands to search for TolTec bands. To search only spectral line bands, choose "OTHER".
Center frequency of band in GHz
Expected line(s) identification formula. e.g., "CO". Single ID or comma separated list
Expected line(s) transition, e.g., "1-0". Single ID or comma separated list
Source velocity in km/s
Choose instrument name
Select INCLUDE to include combined observations in the search, EXCLUDE to exclude them, and ONLY to search only for combined observations.
Choose value indicating observation goal
The title of the project as submitted by the PI
Search the project abstract for the input text
Cone Search
